How to Start Living a Neuro-Informed Life
Understanding your nervous system is the key to creating real, lasting change and living a good life. I blend cutting-edge neuroscience and nervous system regulation with the intuitive wisdom of yoga, mindfulness, and lived experience. As a licensed psychotherapist, educator, and trauma expert, I bring academic rigor and clinical insight to this work—while also honoring the deeper, spiritual layers of healing. I don’t just talk the talk - I walk the walk. This integrative approach bridges science and soul, helping you create transformation that’s both grounded and expansive.

Simple Ways to Start Living Neuro-Informed Today:
Â
Notice Your Nervous System – Pay attention to how your body reacts to stress. Are you tense? Restless? Shut down? Awareness is the first step.
Breathe with Intention – Slow, deep breaths increase parasympathetic activity - which can produce a calming effect . Try extending your exhales so they’re longer than the inhale to calm your body.
Move Your Body – Moving your body can lower inflamation, increase parasympathetic nervous system activity, and regulate stress hormones. Whether it’s a walk, a yoga class, or a sweaty workout, move your body to regulate.
Engage in Co-Regulation – Our nervous systems are wired to regulate in the presence of safe and supportive people. Whether it’s dinner with family, a call with someon you haven’t talked to for a while, or a random act of kindness you offer to the stranger in the grocery store - connecting with people and pets regulates us.
Rest – You need downtime. If you believe you’ll sleep when you’re dead you’re more likely to die an early death than someone who prioritized rest. Start treating your sleep like it’s sacred and give yourself regular times to rest.
